About the program

The UBC Military Veterans Program (MVP) provides transitioning service members with hands-on training and a direct pathway into a career as a Millwright. Participants receive instruction in the fundamentals of industrial construction, machinery installation and maintenance, precision measurement and alignment, rigging, material handling, blueprint reading, and jobsite safety.Upon successful completion of the program and separation from military service, qualified participants may transition into a UBC-affiliated Millwright apprenticeship, where they can continue developing their skills through paid on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
