What is a Registered Apprenticeship?
A Registered Apprenticeship is a paid job with structured on-the-job training and related classroom instruction. Programs are approved by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency. You earn a paycheck from day one, your wages go up as your skills grow, and you finish with a nationally recognized credential.
Who it's for
- Veterans: many programs are approved for the GI Bill, which can pay a monthly housing stipend on top of your wages.
- Transitioning service members: some sponsors start apprentices through SkillBridge before separation.
- Career changers: most programs need no prior experience or degree, only a willingness to learn.
