Jobs this program prepares you for

Welding Internship: During the welding internship, interns will learn the fundamentals of welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel using MIG (Gas Metal Arc Welding) processes. They will receive classroom instruction and hands-on training covering welding techniques, welding variables, pulsed arc welding, welding symbols, blueprint reading, weld quality standards, inspection methods, and welding safety practices. Interns will also learn how to identify and prevent common welding defects, properly set up and assemble components for welding, use welding gauges and measurement tools, and perform grinding and finishing work.In addition to technical welding skills, interns will develop an understanding of manufacturing operations by learning to read work orders, follow standardized processes, work effectively as part of a team, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and continuously improve quality and productivity. The internship provides exposure to real-world fabrication and assembly work while preparing participants to successfully complete weld testing and transition into a production welding role.Installation/Assembly/Chassis Prep Internship: An intern in the Installation Training Program would gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, installation, and chassis preparation. They would learn to safely use hand and power tools, read work orders, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions, and accurately measure, install, and torque components. The program also introduces interns to hydraulic hoses and fittings, electrical wiring and connectors, fasteners, drilling, riveting, and the installation of components such as shelving, lighting, doors, drawers, weatherstripping, and stabilizers.Throughout the internship, participants would strengthen their mechanical and electrical aptitude while learning the importance of safety, quality, teamwork, productivity, punctuality, organization, and continuous improvement in a production environment.

Eligibility & prerequisites

Adherence to the Stellar Industries handbook, respect & responsibility policy, and attendance policy. Not required, but preferred: Basic mechanical skills, ability to read tape measure, familiarity with hand and/or power tools and blue prints. Upon completion of the training, individuals complete a final examination both written and actual weld tests. Any items missed on the written test will be revisited to ensure the individual fully understands the material. The final hands on weld test is a pass or fail criteria. The individual will not be certified or allowed to weld for Stellar industries without successfully passing. 3 attempts is generally the maximum allowable to complete the test successfully. Each welder must recertify every three years to maintain compliance and continue to weld for Stellar industries.
