About the program

Acterra Group Business Development Manager: The primary training for the Business Development Manager will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams, with regular virtual meetings and mentorship sessions. In-person training will take place in Marion, Iowa. Additional travel throughout the United States will be required; however, specific locations cannot be confirmed in advance, as travel will be determined based on active business leads and event-related business needs relevant to the position.

Acterra Group Business Development Manager Duties/Responsibilities: • Market Research & Strategy: Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to develop and execute strategic business development plans.• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, focusing on building trust and understanding their needs.• Opportunity Identification: Generate leads, qualify prospects, and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities across commercial, federal, and industrial sectors.• Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals, presentations, and bids that address client requirements.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and project teams to ensure a seamless handoff and successful project execution.• Sales Targets & Reporting: Meet or exceed established revenue goals and provide regular updates on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.• Brand Representation: Represent Acterra Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.

Eligibility & prerequisites

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or related industries.• Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and client engagement strategies.• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to think strategically while executing tactically to achieve goals.• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction and manufacturing software is a plus.• Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.This position will work to identify new business opportunities and expand on existing opportunities by reaching out to potential and current customers and finding opportunities to build relationships and gain business.
