About the program

To keep America moving every day, we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best. And we are proud to offer jobs for veterans, who know exactly what it means to support our country. The Werner Enterprises Employer Sponsored Training Program (ESTP) is an exciting and innovative opportunity designed to secure high-quality, skills-based training for transitioning Service members in commercial driving and provides immediate and meaningful employment with Werner Enterprises upon transition. ESTP is a performance based program completed in four weeks. Transitioning Service members will be offered an opportunity to receive CDL-A training through Werner's school network on an individual or cohort basis using late model equipment with automatic transmissions. The curriculum is designed for students to develop skills to obtain a CDL-A, as well as options for endorsement training in HAZMAT, double/triples, tankers and passenger. Upon completion of the program, students will have attained the skills and knowledge necessary to take the CDL-A skills test.
