About the program
The technician will be performing assignments such as compounding sterile products, filling controlled substance prescriptions while maintaining compliance with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) regulations, taking medication histories and counseling patients, managing automation, managing workflow and training and orienting staff in the specialized area.

Pharmacy Service at the RJH VAMC has experienced a staffing shortage with a service line rate of 20% over the last three years.
Eligibility & prerequisites
Must submit one of the following with application package:· Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)or· (2) National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCP)
