Jobs this program prepares you for

Reliable Robotics is building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that will save lives. Our Reliable Autonomy System (RAS) will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient, and fundamentally transformative to how goods — and eventually people — move around the planet. We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics, and self-driving cars, working to make this future a reality. We are thrilled to offer transitioning service members the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the aerospace and automation industry. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) apprentice, you’ll develop proficiency in our aircraft and reliable autonomy system (RAS), including avionics, electrical, and electromechanical and mechanical systems. You’ll join a growing team of highly motivated people passionate about delivering quality products and services on time and with unquestionable value. You will be responsible for developing skills and/or transitioning existing skills in aircraft modifications, inspection, maintenance, and repairs by performing hands-on tasks under the guidance of skilled aircraft mechanics, engineers, and accredited trainers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a safety-critical environment that takes automated aviation systems from development to production in a hands-on environment. After successfully completing this apprenticeship, Reliable Robotics will sponsor the opportunity to become an FAA-Licensed Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic. Reliable expects candidates to achieve an A&P certificate within 30 months, specifically through on-the-job credit and testing. Responsibilities: •Build, installation, diagnostics, inspection, and maintenance of Reliable-designed products, line replaceable units (LRUs), harnessing, and interconnects. •Performs modifications, including fabrication and installation of the Reliable Robotics automated aviation system. •Performs routine/non-routine inspections and maintenance to ensure aircraft safety and availability. •Maintains records of aircraft installations, maintenance, and modifications. •Represents the production organization in design reviews and partners with Responsible Engineers (REs) to evaluate designs for cost, producibility, inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements. •Assures product and process quality by testing finished products and process capabilities, establishing standards, and developing manufacturing processesManages operational processes (e.g., tool control, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), etc.)
