About the program

Packet Digital is an engineering company focusing on battery and power system development for autonomous systems. The Fargo, North Dakota based company recently expanded with the acquisition of a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will allow increased production. The increase in manufacturing capacity is important because the use of autonomous systems is rapidly expanding in the defense industry as well as for commercial use. Everything from transport, defense, intelligence gathering, surveying and more increasingly relies on the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Packet Digital is uniquely positioned to fill the ever-increasing demand to UAS batteries, especially the critical demand for USA-made drone batteries.Packet Digital has designed, prototyped, tested, and manufactured power systems, batteries, and battery chargers for the most demanding customers in the world, including the Naval Research Lab, Air Force Research Lab, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, and Anduril. Packet Digital has an excellent reputation in the industry of delivering reliable, high-quality battery and power products. With decades of experience in battery design, battery management systems and embedded programming, Packet Digital can solve the toughest challenges. With a large manufacturing footprint, we are able to increase production while maintaining industry-leading quality. State-of-the-art machinery, such as an SMT line, allows the world-class Packet Digital team to handle more of the battery production process in-house, for both internal commercial products, as well as for our contract customers.
