About the program

To successfully support the SkillBridge participant in their transition from military to civilian life by providing relevant experience and introductions to relationships that will be critical for a successful transition. The environment of the Battleship IOWA staff and crew is an unique in-situ bridge that is leveraged for the benefit of the participant. Ultimately the SkillBridge participant will exit the program with confidence in their abilities in the civilian sector and relationships that will assist and support them into the future, if a role isn't available to continue on the staff. In the event a role is not available to continue, the organization has built several relationships with industry and government partners that may be able to offer relevant roles to the individual.
