About the program

Responsible for operating production machinery and assembling products within established procedures and guidelines in a high production environment. Supports production in various capacities as assigned.

Jobs this program prepares you for

Essential Job Functions:• Setup and operate manual machines, CNC machines, and/or lasers in a fast paced, high production environment. May run more than one unit simultaneously. • Maintain good housekeeping during all phases of production• Meet established safety, quality, and production standards.• Load and un-load parts as necessary to machining process• Change inserts and tooling as necessary• Inspect parts for quality assurance• Support production in multiple work assignments as needed.Additional Duties:• Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.• Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.• Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned. • Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

Eligibility & prerequisites

Qualifications:• 2+ years’ manufacturing experience operating manufacturing/production equipment; preferably manual and/or CNC machines• Familiarity with machining centers, metrology tools• Experience following written work instructions and blueprints• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred • Able to work in a team environment, including being cross trained for multiple work assignments.• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products and ERP systems (vantage and/or E-10 preferred)• Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company.• Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results. • Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies.• May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual. Education:• High School Diploma or equivalent
