Career Liaison Officer

Jobs this program prepares you for

The Career Liaison Officer (CLNO) is a talent acquisition and recruiting role at the center of Headlamp’s mission as The Veteran Transition Accelerator. CLNOs source, identify, screen, and place transitioning service members and veterans into SkillBridge fellowships and full-time roles with Headlamp’s partner employers, serving as the primary liaison between veteran candidates and customer hiring managers. The CLNO devises sourcing strategies and employer branding initiatives to build candidate pipelines, assesses candidate backgrounds against position requirements, and manages end-to-end hiring processes that create a positive experience for both candidates and customers. This Fellow partners with hiring managers to define staffing needs and selection criteria, maintains accurate candidate records in an applicant tracking system and talent pool database, and shares insights from candidate and customer interactions to help improve Headlamp’s services. Success in this role depends on excellent communication and organizational skills, military leadership experience and first-hand insight into the transition process, and the ability to build trust with candidates and customers across multiple departments and organizations.
