About the program

The Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) SkillBridge program prepares transitioning service members for immediate entry into the commercial transportation workforce. Participants receive intensive classroom and behind-the-wheel training focused on safety, vehicle operation, trip planning, and federal and state regulations. Graduates are prepared to test for the Georgia Class A Commercial Driver’s License and transition directly into high-demand civilian driving careers.

Jobs this program prepares you for

Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level commercial driving positions, including local, regional, and over-the-road truck driving roles. Job duties may include operating commercial vehicles, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, complying with DOT regulations, managing delivery schedules, maintaining driver logs, and ensuring safe transport of goods. Positions exist across logistics, distribution, construction, and transportation industries.
