This requirement excludes all telecommunicators that are grandfathered. Course Goals: To present the basic standard operating procedures for telecommunicators and to develop the role and responsibilities of the emergency service telecommunicator. Methodologies: The course employs lecture, discussion, demonstration and practical exercises. Course Requirements: Attendance is required at all class sessions. All practical exercises must be satisfactorily completed and a minimum score of 70% must be achieved on the final Commission-administered written exam. All students confirmed for this course are required to provide a completed Medical History Statement (F-1) and Medical Examination Report (F-2), unless they have been grandfathered by the NC Sheriffs' Education and Training Standards Commission.
