About the program

This 16‑week hands‑on SkillBridge program trains transitioning service members and military spouses in culinary fundamentals, Memphis‑style barbecue, food‑truck operations, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Fellows progress through structured weekly modules covering knife skills, batch production, pitmaster techniques, food safety and ServSafe certification, inventory and cost control, event logistics, branding, customer engagement, and business planning.Participants gain real‑world experience inside a working food truck, lead portions of prep and service, develop new menu items, and execute a capstone popup event demonstrating operational autonomy. The program equips trainees with the skills, confidence, and professional readiness needed for careers in culinary arts, mobile food operations, or food‑truck ownership.
