About the program

This internship is an opportunity for service members to experience private equity - one of the largest and most important industries in the financial sector, which is also one of the most competitive and often inaccessible for individuals without Ivy League degrees and investment banking qualifications. Through a mix of guided training and value-adding workstreams, an intern at the conclusion of the internship will gain confidence in their ability to enter the business world and the experience to succeed in the financial services industry.

Jobs this program prepares you for

Private Equity Associates are responsible for evaluating and executing investment opportunities, including performing detailed financial analysis, market research, and due diligence. They also manage and monitor existing portfolio companies, assisting in strategic decisions to enhance profitability and prepare for successful exits. The private equity associate role has similar skillsets to an investment banking associate or an associate consultant at a top strategy consulting firm. Private equity associates typically command superior compensation, and are strongly positioned for entry into top-tier MBA programs, as well as significant career optionality and upward mobility.

Eligibility & prerequisites

Candidates for this internship program should have a strong interest in and ambition to enter the top ranks of the financial services industry. Service members who have attained, or are planning to attain, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or other business-focused graduate degree will find this internship most useful.

The program will include an initial week of structured training, following by weekly synchronous training experiences in addition to ongoing training and feedback as part of each work assignment. Please note that service members participating in the program will be required to enter into a customary non-disclosure agreement ('NDA') regarding proprietary or confidential information they will have access to during the duration of the program, and to follow Allegiant's Compliance Manual and Code of Ethics, in line with the various applicable Securities & Exchange Commission and other regulations.
