About the program

The Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) is a comprehensive support center for service members, Department of Defense civilians, and their families. Its primary mission is to enhance mission readiness and the well-being of the military community by providing a wide array of programs and services. The M&FRC offers a variety of services designed to support military members and their families through every stage of their careers and personal lives. These services are typically offered through workshops, one-on-one consultations, and special events.

Jobs this program prepares you for

To assist commanders, military personnel and their families, and DoD civilian employees in managing the competing demands of the military mission and family. The M&FRC provides information and family services necessary to support single and married military personnel, civilian employees, and family members through provision and conduct of programs and services that provide information, improve skills by fostering competencies and coping skills, and offer short-term support and assistance when necessary. The DOD SkillBridge program is a 180-day internship, a total of six months. After each training section an assessment and evaluation of knowledge is completed.
