## Summary

The Navy Damage Control Training and Inventory Expert SkillBridge Program is a six-month, full-time training opportunity that provides structured, supervised professional development for transitioning Navy Service Members. The program applies Navy damage control and shipboard inventory experience to civilian maritime and defense logistics environments.Training focuses on safety, emergency response principles, inventory accountability, regulatory awareness, and training development relevant to defense and government contracting operations. Instruction is delivered through classroom training, supervised hands-on exercises, simulations, and observational learning.This SkillBridge position is strictly a training and professional development role. Participants do not displace civilian employees, perform unsupervised labor, or assume independent operational responsibilities. All activities are supervised and conducted in accordance with Department of Defense SkillBridge requirements.

## Job description

The Navy Damage Control Training and Inventory Expert will leverage military experience in naval damage control (e.g., firefighting and flooding prevention) to support Phoenix Group's Damage Control Inventory Management and Stowage System (DCIMSS) and training operations, particularly in maritime and defense sectors. Responsibilities include developing and delivering storage solutions training programs on emergency response, safety protocols, and inventory organization for mission-critical damage control and providing project level oversight as the project manager reporting to the Phoenix-Group Program manager. This role focuses on managing a small work force, coordinating with Sips force, shipyards and other contractors.
